UN Youth in your classroom:

What we offer:

In addition to our external conferences, day forums, summits and competitions, UN Youth runs a comprehensive and flexible schools program that is run in your classroom.

UN Youth can bring the United Nations in to your classroom through a mock session of the Security Council as a part of our Evatt in Schools program, or run our hands-on-workshops with unique content designed to suit whatever your class is currently studying.

Aligned with the Australian National Curriculum, our activities can be tailored to a range of year levels, running from one lesson, to a whole day – whatever suits you!

Teacher Testimonial:

Elspeth Grant, Senior Secondary Teacher from Mark Oliphant College:
UN Youth SA brought global issues alive for our Senior Years students in 2015. Students investigated hot-button issues with fellow young people at the Human
Rights Summit on LGBTIQ rights at home and abroad, and at the YDF about asylum seekers and refugees. We have also appreciated UN Youth catering for our school’s low socio-economic status and outer metropolitan location by running engaging programs that differentiated for students of all abilities in our classrooms. A visit from Shea Spierings, the 2015 Australian Youth Representative to the UN, was a further highlight. We look forward to working with UN Youth again!”
